The Caped Canuck originated as "Captain Canada" a few years back when Colin Turnbull (Evil Dawn/colours on this chapter's title page) dressed up much like this character on Canada day. He got uber-wasted (in the true Canadian way) and his face sweat all over the mask (cut out of a red file folder and looked almost identical to the one pictured above), and turned it into mush. Ever since I've wanted to use the character in a comic. Zom-Ben turned out to be a perfect excuse, but after some research, I found that a Captain Canada already existed, so I had two options: The Caped Canadian or the Caped Canuck. With some help from alracD, I opted for the letter. It has just the right amount of camp, I think.

Femininja is a character created specifically for the Zom-Ben story, developed mostly because I thought the name was hilarious. A feminist ninja? That's comic gold! I was brought to the realization, inevitably, that I can't write for a feminist character if I know nothing about feminism. Thanks to Keri Ryan for being the feminist adviser for Femininja.

Also, thanks to biff_larken for the ridiculous amounts of edits needed in the posting of this page.

Before I begin my comment, I would like to show for everyone a school project I worked on (I take Audio Engineering...FANCY!). Our task was to create a 29-second mock radio ad.

This is what we did, and it is Zom-Ben approved.

Now, for the comic:

Fine job.

I hope to see Zom-Ben team up with these other 'heroes' in the future.

Until then, bring me ... that enemy that I won't give away right now. You know the one.... with the pants... yes.

Also, I think that that steeple could definitely use some sort of superhero loft, or even a kind of 'steeple-treehouse'. I mean, all of the superhero's hang out there. Villains hang out in underground lairs that are made to look like something else.

Heh. I like Femininja and that is so true...

Fantastic, truly FANTASTIC! So many steeple objectification jokes... Seriously though, a beautiful page sir, what a treat!

Once again you dazzle and amaze us all with beauty and perfection. You sir are a master of your craft and deserve some award or other.

I think the caped canuck needs a grudge match with captain america sometime as a side story...and if it happens i've got a dollar on noone winning but both of them going to a bar and getting roaring druck; in the best tradtions of both countries.

I like Caped Canucks hockey stick! It better be razor sharp.

biff_larken> You may be onto something with that superhero loft idea. *Ben uses STEAL *Ben obtained IDEA

LongLiveRa> That's also not such a bad idea. *Ben uses STEAL *Ben obtained SOILED UNDIES?! What the--?

Hogrock> It had damn well better be. I'll ask him and get back to you.
